Damn, it's been a while since we last updated y'all! Your Boombox Family has been keepin' it movin' since our last post, for starters we opened up for MC Jin in early may for the 2011 Inspire Concert alongside the good homie Jaykin, Creative, Ezra and more! Shout outs to I Am Made Entertainment and the Enspire Foundation for putting on such an amazing event!

We just got back from an amazing week where we were in Toronto from Wednesday June 15 - Tuesday June 21, 2011 for the NXNE Festival and the MMVA afterpartys! We had an amazing show for the NXNE festival and are very grateful and blessed to have received so much love from everyone who attended our show! We were also blessed to attend a number of MMVA afterpartys but most notably the Universal Music Afterparty! Shouts out to Ivan & Mark for taking the utmost care of us during our stay in Toronto! We got reacquainted with the fellas from Far East Movement & got to chop it up with the likes of Kardinal, Down With Webster, Fefe Dobson, Dubbz, DJ Dopey, Karl Wolf, Reema Major, K'naan & Lights! Such an inspirational and motivated trip to say the least!

Last but not least, we finally have the 2nd Music Video installment off the "Bringin' The Boom Back: Based On A True Story" EP, "Gotta Let You Know" Produced by Ess and Directed by Mike Rodriguez, was released on Thursday June 16th and OFFICIALLY added to rotation on Muchmusic making it our 3rd video in 4 months to be added to the networks rotation! We are truly humbled and incredibly blessed and want to thank everyone who made the video possible! Our good friends from Queens, Rose Raflores, DJ Hustle, Emina Hot, Vicki Passmore, Samantha Manuntag, Stephanie Gee, DJ Relik, Ess, and of course the gifted and talented Mike Rodriguez! What's good family? Damn, it has definitely been a minute since we've kept y'all up to date! Your Boombox Boys have been steady grindin' and puttin' in a lot of work and soon y'all are gonna see the fruits of our labour. First off, we wanted to thank everyone for the overwhelming response with our recent EP release "Bringin' The Boom Back: Based On A True Story". As a special thank you to our fans, friends and family, we wanted to have a night out with y'all and have a few drinks at Zabu Chicken in Downtown Vancouver for the official video release of "Bringin' The Boom Back", the lead single off the EP! Special thank you to Mike Rodriguez for directing the video and Ian Barcia for helping to make the video happen! We'll also have a special listening party for the EP as well as we didnt have a chance to do one prior to the release of the EP so make sure y'all come thru, we'll have DJ Relik and DJ Hunt spinnin' that good music to compliment the good vibes for the evening! So if you're free we'd definitely love for y'all to party with us!

Ladies and gentleman, friends and family...it's finally here! The official release of our 2nd EP "Bringin' The Boom Back: Based On A True Story is now available for FREE, yes, FREE DOWNLOAD! We'd like to thank everyone who helped in creation of this very special project!

The EP is best described as “a post modern, modern epic love tale of our collective lives tracked by a New-stalgic soundscape, detailing the joys and falls of relation(ships) in the never ending chase of happiness.” -Freeky P

We wanted to showcase a specific genre from our musical spectrum, creating a project dedicated to the era of Hip Hop and RnB that helped influence and craft the bands amalgam of sound to what it is today. Featuring 15 original songs with production by Lokeynote, Jeff Spec, Cinematic, Ess and K-Rec with guest spots by Matt Brevner, Jeff Spec, Jill Laxamana and DJ Relik! A special thank you to Dave Waplington for the amazing work for the EP artwork, Kent 'K-Rec' Stephany, Michael 'House Of Windo' Alcantara, Hunter 'DJ Hunt' Pearson, and Lexani Llaguno for all the hard work and support!
